Yes this 'easy' certification is alive and kicking

CompTIA i-Net+ validates basic technical knowledge of Internet, Intranet and e-commerce technologies. It is ideal for professionals who participate in the development of Web-related applications, and maintenance of Internet infrastructure and services. CompTIA i-Net+ is also beneficial for individuals who sell and market Internet solutions. Although not a prerequisite, it is recommended that CompTIA i-Net+ candidates have at least six months experience working with the Internet, Intranet or e-commerce technologies.

The Internet is an important marketing tool for businesses, and companies need knowledgeable professionals to work on their Web sites. CompTIA i-Net+ is a valuable credential that confirms competency of Internet skills and tasks.
